ENGINEERING Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A. (ENG) is the head company of the ENGINEERING Group. Engineering was founded in 1980, and it is currently the first IT group in Italy, among the top 10 IT groups in Europe, 12.000 employees and 65 branch offices (in Italy, Belgium, Germany, Norway, Republic of Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Argentina, Brazil and the USA). The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the oldest, most prestigious and most competitive academic institute in Greece. NTUA will participate in the project through its lab EPU-NTUA (Decision Support System Laboratory). EPU-NTUA is a multidisciplinary scientific unit within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, which conducts research and development, scientific / technical support and training activities addressing a wide range of complex research and application problems. Operating for more than 25 years, the lab has acquired international experience in the following sectors: Energy and Environmental Policy, Information Technology and Decision Support Systems with a specialization in e-Business and e-Government, Interoperability, Management Information Systems, Program & Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Training and Human Resources Development, Information Dissemination and Promotion.
CARTIF is a horizontal, private and non-profit Research Institution, whose main mission is providing innovative solutions to the industry to enhance their processes, systems and products, improving their competitiveness and creating new business opportunities. CARTIF develops R&D projects financed by private companies or through public funds obtained from competitive calls at national and international level. CARTIF also supports public entities (city councils, regional governments…) on high impact projects planning and development. CARTIF is a multidisciplinary centre that works in multiple knowledge fields focused to many economic sectors: energy, food, industry, construction and infrastructures, health and environment, addressing research lines oriented to the main societal challenges, as industry 4.0, smart grids, smart cities, energy efficiency, cultural heritage, quality of life, circular economy, natural resources and biotechnology. CARTIF has an analytical testing laboratory the offers analysis services to the centre and to other companies by means of a wide offer that includes 3D digitalization, biomass characterization, food biotechnology and material nanotechnology.
RWTH Aachen University, established in 1870, is a leading technical university in Germany and Europe with over 40,000 students and more than 500 professors. It is one of the Universities in Germany awarded with the status of "Excellence University". The E.ON Energy Research Centre, a public-private partnership between E.ON SE and RWTH, funded in 2006, fosters innovative energy research with a strong link with industry in an interdisciplinary approach, with five institutes from different faculties. Within this research centre, the Institute for Automation of Complex Power Systems (ACS) focuses on research for the automation, modernisation and restructuring of electrical energy distribution systems. This research area deals with solutions for monitoring, maintaining and developing complex power systems. Both the simulation of dynamic processes in complex systems as well as development of a stable and secure communication infrastructure are areas of expertise of the scientists working at ACS. The Institute is developing the science and technology for the transition to the next generation energy grids. During 2014, the Chair for Operating Systems was merged with ACS, creating a chair that operates in both the Energy and ICT areas to better address the modern challenges given by Energy Systems.
Eurac Research is an applied research centre located in Bozen, Italy, coordinator of the Cultural-E project. Founded in 1992, it currently has 11 institutes organised into four main areas of research: autonomies, mountains, health and technologies. The Institute for Renewable Energy conducts applied research on advanced energy systems based on or including renewable energy sources. Scientific activities include tests of single components and integrated energy systems in the lab and in the outdoor facilities, energy and environmental monitoring at demonstration sites, energy and comfort modelling and decision support at system, building, cluster, district and regional level.

The Latvian Environmental Investment Fund was established on April 28th, 1997. The mission of the Fund is to reduce environmental pollution, promoting the implementation of environmental protection projects and to increase the capacity of municipalities and commercial organizations to prepare and carry out of high quality and effective projects from their idea to realization. The Fund has worked on different environment protection projects for over 19 years. Activities are directed to reach maximal environment improvement, supporting commercial activities in public and private sector, and attracting financing for environmental and business infrastructure developments. Since 2009 the Fund provides supervision of implementation and post-implementation monitoring of projects co-financed by Climate change financial instrument (KPFI - Green investment scheme. Currently the Fund is implementing a state budgetary program Emission Quota Auction tool (EKII).

SEVEn, the Energy Efficiency Center was established in 1990. SEVEn maintains its core mission: protecting the environment and promoting economic development through more efficient use of energy. SEVEn focuses on implementing specific energy-saving projects. Its main activities include energy auditing, feasibility studies, energy performance contracting, engineering activities and expert evaluations strategic studies, projects to lower energy intensity in the residential and tertiary sector, assessment of the relevant legislation, provision of services in the field of education, training, awareness and promotion in the field of energy savings. SEVEn customers and partners include public and private organisations, ministries, international development organisations, private companies and firms, cities, municipalities and regions, energy companies, interest groups and other institutes and energy consumers.
